Introduction
Olga - a Swiss Marionette - makes Iron Sheets (a String Figure of Malawi).
The observation of Pumpkin Wheels and Pawpaw Flutes at Mua School for Deaf Children (Dedza District) has led to a substantial collection of children's games and entertainments from Malawi: played both at school and in the village.
Marionettes and string figures (cat's cradles) are of special interest. We present also a number of original works of origami that are inspired by Malawi.
